Twipping Point – When to say goodbye to a fellow tweeter?
With the exploding popularity of Twitter has also come a new form of annoyance that some would even call SPAM if you have hit their twipping point. Most of us love all of the information and entertainment we receive from our followers and those that we are following, but there are some tweeters out there that we just need to let go of, wave goodbye to (or sneak away quietly) and stop following. Have you come across this tweeter? This person thinks that everyone wants to know every single website they visit throughout the day or a play-by-play of their average and ultimately boring day.
I personally run into this a lot following people who tweet in the personal finance and entrepreneurship categories. Many of the these tweeters that I have said goodbye to either tweet non-stop affiliate links to junk or tweet every single money making tip article and website they can possibly find on the internet.
I have also said goodbye to some tweeters that post absolutly everything they do during the day. I don't really need to know that you are stopping at the gas station or getting food for your dog. Although, if you are stopped at the gas station and get a picture or video of someone driving off with the pump still in their car, that is entertainment I definatly want to see and will enjoy!
What is your twipping point? Is it someone who tweets more than five to ten times a day, five to ten times a minute? Someone who tweets about crap that no one could possibly be interested in? Could it even be someone who does not tweet or doesn't tweet enough to keep you interested in following them?
Please post some comments here! I would really love to read about your twipping point. I can't be the only person who says goodbye to fellow tweeters and these can't be the only reasons. Let's hear them!
