My Arbonne Experience

by Stephen Blair on Apr.02, 2008, under General Posts

I setup a unique Arbonne sample distribution process where users could order samples through me online for free, simply paying for the shipping. This is not any different than if you were to walk up to me on the street and want a sample, I would have to order the sample from Arbonne and then give the sample to you just like I had to order the sample from Arbonne and then ship it to customers. Arbonne consultants for a small fee could also use MY system to send out samples to THEIR customers for free. The reason this was unique is because for me or any other consultant to send a customer to the Arbonne site, like Arbonne would like me to do, to order their own samples they first have to pay for the samples and the shipping, and second have to order them in larger quantities than just a single sample. Good idea right? No!

Arbonne sent me a cease and desist order demanding me to stop. saying that I was going against their brand and that my site even “mimics Arbonne MyArbonne.com, using the MyArbonne.com tempplate and images, giving the fals impression and misrepresentation that you have an approved MyArbonne.com site”. I paid my fees, I had a MyArbonne.com site! Click Here to see the actual cease and desist order they sent me for all the details.

I personally came up with a new system to make the most out of my Arbonne business and was shutdown for it. Don’t they get that if I do well so do they? Isn’t that the goal? Its not like I was out saying that these products were mine and not using their system to obtain the samples. I just wanted my customers to have a far simpler way to get a single sample.

I have since removed my system and all refernces to it on any of my websites, stopped using Arbonne, selling Arbonne, and recommending Arbonne products or the business to anyone. I am not saying Arbonne is good or bad, I am saying this is my experience and take from it what you like.

Glad to run into this. I was reading the Arbonne legal agreement, and wanted to know how much they charged for a myarbonne website. Found this instead. The company does have to have rules and requirements, but to be so heavy-handed and against true entrepreneurship as to discourage your efforts gave me as much info as I needed to dismiss that company. Thanks for saving me time and money.
